From in-house club opens to county-level ranking events — guidance on refereeing, direct elimination tables, British Fencing rules and entry management. We can also promote your event on the Yorkshire calendar.
Safeguarding
Welfare & safeguarding
Our Welfare Officer supports clubs in meeting their safeguarding obligations. We can advise on DBS requirements, photography policies, codes of conduct and British Fencing's welfare framework — all essential for clubs working with young people.

What we need
- Club name
- Town / city and region (West, North, South or East Yorkshire)
- Training venue and session times
- Weapons fenced (foil, épée, sabre)
- Juniors — whether you take them and from what age
- Contact email and website / social media
- A sentence or two about the club
Promote your competitions too
We list club opens and competitions on our events calendar — send the date, venue, categories and an entry link and we'll publish it.
Keep details up to date
Moved venue? Changed session times? New beginner course? Email the Secretary and we'll update your listing. An accurate listing is the difference between a new fencer turning up and giving up.
